Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Operating Room Tech role at Provost Health Centre. You will join an interprofessional team delivering safe, patient and family-centred care in OR, Emergency and Acute care settings with a 0.75 FTE schedule.

The role requires an accredited LPN education program, active or eligible CLHA registration, BCLS-HCP, and Peri-operative ORT certification (or completion within 16 months).

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Must have the Peri-operative Certificate (ORT). Or completion of the Peri-operative education within 16 months from start date.
• 1-2 years' experience in the OR. 5 years' experience or more as an LPN.

Education

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
