Job summary

Alberta Health Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Unit 3F3 Surgery Program at the U of A Hospital. The LPN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on an orthopedic and general surgery unit, with rotation across days, evenings and weekends.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with the health care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and family teaching. Minimum 0.72 FTE, posting ends 13-OCT-2026, locations Edmonton area.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on an acute surgical unit with family-centered approach.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Document changes and maintain patient safety according to policies.
