Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Alberta is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our welcoming communities in Airdrie. You will provide compassionate nursing care aligned with policies, resident plans, and physician orders, while supporting residents and families with clear communication.

Reporting to the Wellness Manager, you’ll supervise care teams, participate in admissions and status changes, and help create a respectful, safe, and engaging environment where residents thrive and feel valued.

Qualifications

• Active license with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Ability to identify risk and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, orders, and resident plan of care.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound practices.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care and coordinate with residents and families.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers and other care staff.
• Assist with admissions, readmissions, and status changes; provide ongoing assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are:

• In good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
