Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Alberta is seeking an LPN for a non-union, temporary full-time night position in Airdrie. The role involves nursing care, resident assessments, and supervising care teams in a senior living setting.

You’ll support residents’ daily comfort, dignity, and safety on a dedicated night shift. The successful candidate must be in good standing with the Alberta College of Licensed Practical Nurses, with geriatrics or senior health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• In good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health industry is an asset.
• Good judgement and ability to identify risk; foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents.
