Description:We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a long-term care facility.Accommodation will be provided by the vendor.The LPN is responsible for providing care for patients with defined health challenges and predictable outcomes within their scope of practice.In collaboration with patients and the healthcare team, the LPN will provide necessary nursing interventions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.As the acuity or complexity of care increases, the LPN will work closely with the RN, who retains accountability for the delegation of patient care activities.The LPN is accountable for their individual actions and practices.Compliance with documentation processes is required.IV initiation and IV medication administration are part of the entry-level competencies in the LPN curriculum.LPNs are encouraged to check with the Charge Nurse regarding authorization for specific practice areas and approved medications for administration.
