Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Mariposa Gardens Community to provide nursing care in line with policies and physician orders. You will collaborate with the RN and interprofessional team to support residents’ dignity, independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include medication management, care planning, documentation, and ongoing professional development. Applicants must hold BC LPN registration, complete required checks, and participate in community programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Diploma in Practical Nursing and be currently registered as an LPN.
• Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification per AIS requirements.
• Current First Aid with CPR certification.
• Willingness to pass Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders, and resident plan of care within LPN scope.
• Ensure safe medication handling and narcotics control per protocol.
• Create a respectful environment that preserves privacy, dignity, autonomy and individuality.
• Collaborate with RN and interprofessional team; monitor resident status and take appropriate action.
• Document care priorities and strategies on the resident care plan.
• Participate in in-service programs, conferences, and workshops.
• Assist with data collection for nursing history on admission/readmission/status changes.
