Russell Tobin in Canada seeks experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an Ambulatory Care assignment in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. You will provide direct outpatient nursing care, perform patient assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate follow-up in a collaborative clinical team.

This contract offers CAD $38-48 per hour, on-site work, airfare reimbursement, paid travel time, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active LPN registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Minimum of one year of recent ambulatory/outpatient/primary care or acute care nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Experience administering medications and assisting outpatient procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory Care setting.
• Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations as prescribed.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and minor procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
