Base pay range

CA$42.50/hr - CA$47.50/hr

Overview

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical/Surgical. Shift: All shifts; floating across units required. Location: Hazelton, BC. We are seeking a skilled LPN to join the Med/Surg team in Hazelton, BC. This position requires flexibility and clinical expertise to provide high-quality care to patients across multiple units, including acute, postpartum, and complex care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to medical, surgical, and postpartum patients.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical standards.
• Provide care for patients requiring Negative Pressure Wound Care.
• Apply knowledge of the BC Mental Health Act in relevant situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration with BCCNM.
• NRP certification required.
• Completion of Cultural Safety course prior to deployment.
• PEWS certification recommended but not required.
• Experience in acute care, Med/Surg, and postpartum care preferred.
• Comfortable floating to multiple units and working all shifts.
• Must have completed site orientation.
