Job summary

PFG is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer for our Edmonton locations. You’ll work undercover in plain clothes on the sales floor to identify risks, prevent loss, and protect company assets while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

You will perform security audits, conduct arrests and asset recoveries, and document evidence with clear reports, all while adhering to policies and maintaining professionalism with the public and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Must hold AB Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile.
• AST certification is an asset.
• Second language ability is an asset.
• Open availability is an asset.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining an undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor while blending into the store environment.
• Conducting discreet observations to identify and address potential theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid AB Security Worker's Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).
