Save-On-Foods is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer for our Edmonton locations. You will work undercover in plain clothes on the sales floor, blending into the store environment to identify risks and help prevent loss. Qualifications

• Valid AB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
• Demonstrated integrity and discretion.
• Second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor.
• Conduct discreet observations to identify theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approach situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintain professional demeanor with public, staff, and law enforcement.
• Conduct security audits of the building and assets.
• Perform arrests, pay-and-returns checks, and product recoveries.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Document evidence and prepare clear reports.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining an undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor while blending into the store environment.
• Conducting discreet observations to identify and address potential theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approaching situations with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor when dealing with the public, staff, and law enforcement agencies.
• Conducting security audits of the building and assets.
• Performing arrests, ask to pays, and product recoveries.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

You have:

• A valid AB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).
