Job summary

Pattison Food Group is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer in Edmonton to protect people and assets while blending into the store environment. You will work undercover on the sales floor, observe for risks, and help prevent loss as part of our resource protection team.

Responsibilities include discreet observations, security audits, and collaboration with staff and law enforcement. The role emphasizes professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in protecting our operations.

Qualifications

• A valid AB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement is required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Integrity and willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Maintain undercover, plain-clothes presence on the sales floor.
• Conduct discreet observations to deter theft, fraud, and mischief.
• Approach situations with a customer-first mindset.

• Perform arrests, detentions, and product recoveries as required.

• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Documenting all evidence and typing clear and concise reports as required.

Requirements

• A valid AB Security Worker’s Licence with Security Guard endorsement.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Valid Advanced Security Training/AST (considered an asset).
• Fluency in a second language (considered an asset).
• Open availability (considered an asset).
