Job summary

Sephora Canada in Victoria, BC is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to supervise the sales floor, perform surveillance, and deter theft while upholding company policies. This regular, full-time role requires meeting weekly hour targets and working at multiple locations within the market.

You will prepare reports, train new staff, and collaborate with local law enforcement and store leadership. The position offers CAD$25.00–CAD$30.00 per hour, benefits, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
• Licensing requirements as required by province or local jurisdiction.
• Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to coach in the moment on loss prevention techniques.
• Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is desirable.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
• Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and CCTV to deter theft.
• Adhere to laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions and evidence.
• Prepare reports on theft incidents, recoveries, investigations and audits.
• Develop relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, mall security and retailers.
• Testify in court on behalf of the company when summoned.
• Provide new hire and ongoing loss prevention trainings.
