Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and documents for international routes.
• Inspect vehicle; tires, lights, brakes, temperature controls.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Carry out emergency roadside repairs.
• Complete pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections; oversee vehicle operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp and secure cargo; ensure safety of cargo.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.
