Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
• Mountain driving expertise.
• Professionalism in customer service.
• Load and unload goods.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of cargo.
