Job summary

SB Trucking in Surrey, BC is seeking a driver to join a two-person team on long-haul routes across Canada and into the United States. This role involves frequent or constant travel and driving on the road.

No experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided. A valid Canadian driver's license (Class 1 or A) and Air Brake endorsement are required, along with willingness to cross-border travel and long periods away from home.

• Frequent travel and on-the-road work.

Responsibilities

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
