Position: Logistics Team Lead – Food Shipments
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 (commensurate with experience)
Location: West Island, Montreal

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Freight Team Lead to manage international ocean shipments, specifically focused on reefer (refrigerated) containers and food-related documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations, be highly organized, and capable of ensuring all certificates and documentation meet compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor ocean shipments, with an emphasis on reefer container logistics.

Prepare and manage documentation related to international food shipments, including Certificates of Food Safety and Origin.

Ensure compliance with international and local shipping regulations.

Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Resolve shipping issues and delays promptly and effectively.

Maintain accurate records of shipments and documentation for audit purposes.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or logistics, particularly in food shipments.

Strong knowledge of reefer container operations and temperature-sensitive cargo.

Experience handling food documentation and certificates.

Fluent in English; bilingualism is considered an asset.

High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Poste : Chef d’équipe logistique – Expéditions alimentaires

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) chef d’équipe en fret maritime rigoureux(se) et expérimenté(e) pour superviser les expéditions internationales par voie maritime, avec un accent particulier sur les conteneurs réfrigérés (reefer) et la documentation liée aux produits alimentaires. Le candidat idéal possède une excellente compréhension des règlements d'importation/exportation, est bien organisé(e) et capable de s'assurer que tous les certificats et documents respectent les normes de conformité.

Responsabilités principales

Coordonner et surveiller les expéditions maritimes, en mettant l'accent sur la logistique des conteneurs réfrigérés.

Préparer et gérer la documentation liée aux expéditions alimentaires internationales, y compris les certificats de salubrité alimentaire et d’origine.

Veiller au respect des règlements en matière de transport maritime à l’échelle locale et internationale.

Communiquer avec les transporteurs, les courtiers en douane et les clients pour assurer des livraisons exactes et ponctuelles.

Résoudre rapidement et efficacement les problèmes ou retards d’expédition.

Maintenir des dossiers précis pour les expéditions et la documentation à des fins d’audit.

Qualifications

Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en logistique ou en fret maritime, particulièrement dans les expéditions alimentaires.

Solide connaissance des conteneurs réfrigérés et du transport de marchandises sensibles à la température.

Expérience en gestion de documents et certificats alimentaires.

Maîtrise de l’anglais requise; le bilinguisme est considéré comme un atout.

Excellente attention aux détails et fortes compétences en organisation.

Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et au sein d’une équipe dans un environnement dynamique.
