Qualifications

  • Secondary education required; post-secondary preferred.
  • Previous flatbed transportation experience required.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Customer relationship skills essential; sales orientation a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Source FTL & LTL Flatbed loads.
  • Build customer relationships.
  • Work with Operations to fill assets.
  • Broker loads.
  • Provide quotes following pricing principles.
  • Order entry / update / track & trace / booking pickup & delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales Reps across Canada to provide fleet updates.
  • Be well-versed in flatbed options and equipment.
  • Broker loads to Day & Ross approved carriers.
  • Other related duties as may be required.

Logistics Specialist, Flatbed

Full-Time, Temporary (6-12 month contract)

Hartland, NB or Fredericton, NB (Hybrid)

The Logistics Specialist , Flatbed, will source and coordinate freight across North America. This role will serve as a liaison between assets & brokerage and will work closely with the operations team to utilize assets, maintain efficiency and grow profitability. You will work as part of a tight knit team of Logistics Specialists and will be fully accountable to grow a book of business. The ideal candidate will be sales focused and highly focused on the Customer Experience.

How You'll Help
  • Source FTL & LTL Flatbed loads.
  • Build Customer Relationships.
  • Work with Operations to fill assets.
  • Brokering Loads.
  • Provide quotes to secure business following the pricing principles.
  • Order Entry / Update / Track & Trace / Booking Pick up & Delivery.
  • Work closely with Sales Reps across Canada to provide updates on fleet availability.
  • Be very well versed in Flatbed options and types of equipment to service customers.
  • Broker loads to D&R approved carriers.
  • Other related duties as may be required.
Your Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of secondary education, with preference of post-secondary education (general stream), or a combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Flatbed Transportation is required.
  • Strong communication skills – written & spoken.
  • Driven to succeed.
  • Computer skills – accuracy, MS products, Truck Mate, web based programs, Excel.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment.
  • Ability to champion business needs in a collaborative manner to colleagues.
  • Results focused.
