Job Summary

Reporting directly to Radar Customer Success, the role of Logistics Specialist will be part of the BlackBerry Radar business unit. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all transportation activities along with related business operations activities. This includes managing all Radar transport shipments— inbound, outbound, by air, ocean, and truck— including import and export customs formalities. Additionally, the role involves facilitating and streamlining Sales Order Processing and Order Fulfillment duties.

Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will plan and execute the following responsibilities:

  1. Understanding the business unit’s full transportation needs, volumes, and related costs.
  2. Managing and negotiating with current and potential carriers for optimal costs and service agreements.
  3. Supporting our third-party Logistics provider in preparing shipments by truck, air, ocean, export, and import shipments.
  4. Seeking and implementing process improvements for data interchange between sales order systems, shipping technologies, and carriers to eliminate unnecessary steps and improve data quality.
  5. Ensuring the timely execution of necessary documentation at shipment preparation.
  6. Working with carrier representatives for shipment pre-planning arrangements and issuing shipping instructions.
  7. Monitoring and tracking shipments daily to their destinations.
  8. Responding promptly to all incoming communications from internal customers and business partners (domestic and overseas) to effectively manage daily operations.
  9. Building and maintaining good relationships with vendors and internal customers.
You will have:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Logistics and Transportation.
  • Ability to manage complex shipments across all modes of transportation.
  • Understanding of transportation technologies and available tools.
  • Experience resolving customs delays.
  • Proven ability to prioritize diverse functions and responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with Asset Management.
  • Familiarity with tariff classification and customs import/export regulations.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage emergency situations effectively and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience handling and shipping Dangerous Goods (asset).
