Job summary

Dover Corporation's Calgary facility is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee shipments of finished goods and inventory control, ensuring timely delivery to customers.

You will inspect inbound materials and finished products against drawings and purchase orders, operate a forklift, and coordinate packing, labeling, and shipping.

Required are a high school diploma, strong mechanical skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.

OPW is part of the Clean Energy & Fueling segment of Dover (NYSE: DOV).The Logistics Manager duties will include:Shipments of finished products with UPS/Fed Ex/ DHL and LTL freight, shipment of products to customersFamiliarity leading to proficiency in US Homeland Security requirements for trans-border shipping (harmonization coding/ synchronization coding and).Inspection of incoming raw materials and purchased items to ensure that they meet the criteria that are listed on the purchase order.Inspection of Finished goods to ensure that they meet the criteria that are listed on the production drawings.Assembly, packaging and complete shipping transactions of finished goods.Organizational skills to maintain and file records relating to finished goods received goods and shipped product.Operation of Forklift for loading and unloading trucks, moving material within workshop.Ability to read Dial calipers and tape measure.Washing of finished productsMaintain goods both incoming and outgoing from the stockroom.Valid Driver’s license with a clean record for in-town pickups and deliveries.Familiarity with Oracle Business software.Proficient in multi-taskingDaily inventory counts of stock room parts and raw materialCommunicating with suppliers, freight companies, and customers via email and/or telephoneKnowledge of stockroom and where items are to be stored in accordance with quantity and size.Pressure testing of Finished GoodsAbility to setup and mark finished productsJob RequirementsEducation/Experience:Required to have a High School Diploma or EquivalentExcellent verbal skills to communicate with Co-workers and supervisors regarding technical issues. Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications. Strong mechanical skills and working knowledge.Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)Attitude:Must display a positive attitude in dealing with supervisors and co-workersHave open lines of communication with team members.
