Job summary

RONA in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Dispatcher to optimize delivery efficiency while balancing customer needs with our operational standards.

You will schedule delivery requests, review shipping notes for accuracy, and optimize routes to maximize vehicle capacity and reduce travel time. You will also assign vehicles and drivers, ensure orders are prepared, and communicate requirements to the manager as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating deliveries with constraints and drivers.
• Familiarity with building materials and related products.
• Strong leadership and delegation abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Schedule delivery requests per policies to enhance efficiency.
• Review shipping notes to correct errors.
• Optimize delivery routes to maximize capacity and minimize travel time.
• Assign vehicles and drivers to routes and manage specialty products.
• Communicate staffing and equipment requirements to the manager.
• Coordinate with dispatch to address requests and resolve issues in real time.
