Job summary

O Foods Ltd is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping documentation, oversee shipments, and communicate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery. The role involves coordinating shipments from growers to customers and maintaining accurate records to support performance metrics.

You will work closely with customer service and warehouse teams, respond to inquiries, and help optimize logistics processes across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree is an asset.
  • Previous work in a logistics role is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
  • Willingness to achieve goals and self-improvement.
  • Comfortable with multiple software applications including MS Dynamics GP.
  • Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards using Excel.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Relationship management and clear communication with customers.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
  • Book trucks and rail cars to deliver loads on requested dates.
  • Send Booking Confirmation, Delivery Confirmation, and customs documents.
  • Review and prepare paperwork to ship orders.
  • Plan and track shipments according to customer requirements.
  • Keep logs of on-time delivery, executed orders, and rejected trailers.
  • Maintain records supporting a customer scorecard.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Warehouse teams.
  • Address shipment and inventory issues and resolve them.
  • Monitor shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
  • Discuss and negotiate rates with carriers.
  • Analyze and optimize logistical procedures.
  • Assist with export and import documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
