Forma Steel in Fort Macleod, AB, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to coordinate shipments, communicate with drivers and carriers, and ensure on-time delivery. You will maintain shipping records and work with production, sales, and operations to meet customer commitments.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in trucking/dispatch, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office. This full-time role offers year-round work, an RRSP program, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualificações

• 2-3 years of trucking industry and/or dispatch experience is a strong asset with knowledge of Transport Canada and NSC regulations (Hours of Service, Road bans, over dimensional loads)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing schedules and documentation.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Comfortable working with computers, email, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• A proactive mindset and a commitment to providing reliable, efficient service.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and schedule shipments, deliveries, and pickups to support daily operations.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, delivery schedules, and other logistics records.
• Monitor shipments and proactively address delays, scheduling conflicts, or other transportation issues.
• Work closely with production, sales, and operations teams to coordinate shipping priorities and meet customer commitments.
• Ensure orders are accurately prepared, documented, and ready for shipment.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transportation costs, and shipment details.
• Assist with optimizing delivery routes, scheduling, and transportation resources to improve efficiency and control costs.
• Ensure shipping and transportation activities follow company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
• Provide timely updates to relevant team members regarding shipment status, delays, and changes.
• Perform other related duties as required to support the team.
