About the Role: Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is an individual contributor role centred on operational execution. You'll work within established standard operating procedures to coordinate freight movements, validate shipping documentation, support customs clearance activities, and assist with delivery scheduling and issue resolution. The role touches multiple functions — from vendor onboarding and purchase order monitoring to DC delivery coordination and financial invoice validation — giving you broad exposure to the full import lifecycle.

Responsibilities

This role spans the full scope of inbound logistics coordination, from the moment a vendor books a shipment right through to final delivery at a Distribution Centre. Day-to-day work involves monitoring systems, validating documents, and communicating with internal teams and external partners to keep freight moving on schedule. Accuracy and timely follow-up are essential in every task.

• Support vendor onboarding and ensure compliance with inbound logistics processes, including monitoring purchase order bookings and following up on missing or late vendor actions
• Review booking details in VMS for accuracy, including POs, quantities, and destination Distribution Centre information
• Track inbound shipments across ocean, air, and rail transportation; monitor vessel schedules and flag potential delays or risks to senior team members
• Receive and review shipping documents for completeness and accuracy, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and supporting trade documents
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with vendors or internal teams; prepare documentation packages for submission to customs brokers
• Forward arrival notices and required documents to customs brokers; track clearance status and follow up on outstanding documentation
• Support ASN generation and prepare Shipping Reference Requests (SRRs) for DC delivery appointments; track rail and trailer movements to final DCs
• Assist with freight invoice validation, chargeback and credit tracking, and detention and demurrage validation through data collection
• Manage non-standard shipments including Europe routing, air freight, and special commodities such as bikes, kayaks, and dangerous goods
