Job summary

Mr Apple is seeking a Logistics Administrator for our Hastings Coolstore to help ensure product is accurately tracked, stored and ready for the next journey. You’ll work with the Logistics & Operations Manager and broader team to blend administration with on-floor inventory duties, gaining exposure to logistics, quality and coolstore operations.

The role is hands-on with variety and responsibility, focusing on stock control, reporting and process improvements in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration or office support roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Familiarity with inventory or stock management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate stock movements and storage locations in the coolstore.
• Create and manage work orders and inventory records.
• Monitor receivals, stock accuracy and system integrity.
• Support quality inspections, labeling and post-packing tasks.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and inventory issues.
• Maintain operational reporting and data requests.
• Collaborate with quality, operations, sales and logistics teams.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects on site.

At Mr Apple, our coolstore operation plays a critical role in delivering premium fruit to customers around the world. We're looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our Hastings Coolstore team and help ensure product is accurately tracked, stored and ready for the next stage of its journey.

Working closely with the Logistics & Operations Manager and wider operations team, you'll combine administration, inventory coordination and on-floor collaboration to keep product flow running smoothly. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to learn across logistics, quality and coolstore operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinate stock movements and storage locations within the coolstore
• Create and manage work orders and inventory records
• Monitor product receivals, stock accuracy and system integrity
• Support quality inspections, labelling activities and post-packing requirements
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damaged product and inventory issues
• Maintain operational reporting, data requests and administration activities
• Collaborate with quality, operations, sales and logistics teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and site projects

What You'll Bring:

• Administration experience and computer literacy
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Confidence working with inventory or stock management systems
• A proactive attitude and willingness to spend time both in the office and on the coolstore floor
• Previous logistics, inventory, warehousing or supply chain experience is advantageous but not essential
