Job summary

Lufthansa Technik Canada is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage aircraft materials, engines, tooling, inventory, and logistics operations. You will handle receiving, shipping, and transport within the facility, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and international procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1 year in aviation logistics, plus English and French proficiency. Some travel, overtime, and forklift operation are required; a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED required.
• 1 year experience in aviation logistics with handling aviation material, forklifts and shipping DG.
• Knowledge of French is required to perform duties related to the position.
• English required due to use of English documents and international communications.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and shipping aircraft/material and tooling per procedures.
• Execute engine and engine module shipping/receiving including loading/off-loading and verification.
• Transport aircraft/material and modules within the facility.
• Handle material and packaging processes; lift up to 70lbs.

Tasks

As the Logistics Specialist, you will take on a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:

• Receiving and Shipping of aircraft/engine material and tooling as per described procedures
• Execute Engine and Engine Module shipping and receiving processes including loading, off-loading and verification processes
• Transportation of aircraft/engine material, Engines and Engine Modules withing the facility
• Physical handling of material, incl. opening packages and performing the packaging process
• Inventory and stock keeping of consumable items required in production
• Proactively work to resolve discrepancies as they occur
• Input data in electronic data processing systems
• Coordinate with service providers as required
• Recognize significance of required airworthiness certificates for aircraft material and properly applying associated regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• 1 year experience in aviation logistics with experience in handling aviation material, operating small and large forklifts and shipping Dangerous Goods
• Knowledge of French is required to perform duties related to the position
