Job description

Job Overview

Reporting to the Director of Integration and Warehouse Operations, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing warehouse and stockroom staff while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient logistics and material handling operations. This role provides hands‑on leadership to align people, processes, and resources with business priorities in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, supervision, and coaching to warehouse and stockroom personnel to ensure performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize work; manage staffing levels and scheduling in accordance with business requirements and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures for all warehousing, logistics, and material handling activities.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness, including adherence to internal procedures, maintenance policies, and aerospace industry standards.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for warehouse and stockroom operational issues, customer requirements, and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Drive performance through the definition, tracking, and communication of KPIs, ensuring corrective actions are taken where results fall below expectations.
  • Ensure proper execution and sustainability of the KANBAN parts replenishment system.
  • Oversee safe handling, transport, and disposal of materials in compliance with aerospace, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Manage indirect spend and control departmental costs within approved budgets.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, collaboration, and accountability across the warehouse team.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Logistics, Inventory Control, Warehousing, and/or Supply Chain, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehousing and logistics processes, preferably within an aerospace or MRO setting.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, solve operational issues, and drive results through structured processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Quantum or similar) and strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Knowledge of Import/Export and Trade Compliance regulations is considered a strong asset.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑driven with a strong sense of urgency and follow‑through.
