Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a software engineer to help automate translation-related workflows for the ArcGIS platform. You will build Python and Jenkins tools, develop web-based applications with C# and .NET, and maintain SQL databases for performance and security.

You’ll collaborate across international teams, work with REST/SOAP services, and contribute to design, testing, and release processes for a globally used product.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Build modern Python and Jenkins automation tools that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
• Create modern web-based applications with C# and Microsoft .NET framework, incorporating both front-end and back-end web development
• Maintain SQL databases to ensure high performance and security of stored data
• Collaborate with other engineers throughout the development process
• Design, develop, and test applications and APIs
• Articulate and solve problems related to application design, development, and user experiences
• Use test tools such as Selenium to improve our workflows
• Make an impact by consistently looking for ways to improve our design, development, testing, and release processes for thousands of global customers that use ArcGIS, our industry-leading software

Requirements

• 1+ years of applied experience using Python
• Knowledge of, or experience in, the software development process and software release cycle
• Driven and adaptable with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
