Job summary

Springboard is hiring a Youth Worker to provide trauma-informed, safe 24/7 supervision for youth in a live-in program in Toronto. The role focuses on education support, life skills, and transition planning with partners like the Toronto District School Board.

The position requires a Diploma in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, or related field, with experience in crisis prevention and working with traumatized youth. Travel to other sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, or Social Work; related education considered.
• Experience with trauma-informed frameworks and crisis prevention.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a trauma-informed, safe setting for 24/7 coverage for youth in care.
• Support youth education, employment planning, and life-skills development.
• Attend court with youth when required and liaise with guardians and stakeholders.
• Record keeping, case management, and reporting to supervisors.
