Otter Co-op is now hiring a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at Angry Otter Liquor @ City Gate in Chilliwack, BC. You will provide excellent customer service, process sales, and help keep the store organized while promoting products and maintaining accurate tills.

The role requires a Serving It Right license, WSET 1 within the first year, and availability including evenings/weekends. Must be over 19 and able to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right license required.
• WSET 1 accreditation must be obtained within first year.
• Must be over 19 years of age.
• Open availability including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards.
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales.
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include evenings and weekends
• This position is based out of the City Gate Liquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
