Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Line Setup operator to oversee line setup, equipment operation, and coordinate a small team on the shop floor. You will support the Production Supervisor by leading day-to-day production activities and troubleshooting issues to meet targets.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of production processes, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of production processes and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup, operation, and changeover of production lines, ensuring equipment is ready and running efficiently.
• Lead and coordinate team members to achieve daily targets related to quality, output, and safety.
• Serve as first point of contact for troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with the Production Supervisor about online performance, challenges, and progress toward goals.
• Assist in training new team members to meet production requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor and perform tool/insert changes.
• Review and adjust in-process parts according to CMM results.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
