Linamar Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will focus on equipment performance, reducing downtime, and quality improvements, working closely with engineers to keep systems running efficiently.

The role requires 3-5 years in a technical or manufacturing technician position, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read drawings and follow procedures while adhering to quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical support or manufacturing technician role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, and process optimization.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Familiarity with quality systems, documentation practices, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Safely and effectively use a variety of hand and power tools, including torque drivers, screwdrivers, drills, clamps, vises, and other assembly and maintenance equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of sub-assemblies and finished products, with a focus on medical devices and related equipment.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment or process issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements that increase production efficiency and product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on manufacturing equipment to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
• Analyze production data and provide recommendations for process enhancements, material usage, and equipment modifications.
• Participate in new equipment installations, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and integration into existing production systems.
• Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs, ensuring all machinery and systems are functioning optimally.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, and implementation of solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
• Work with production teams to identify challenges and provide technical solutions to minimize disruptions and maximize output.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives to support operational flexibility and contribute to the successful introduction of new products, processes, and manufacturing projects.
