Job summary

The Glencoe Club, located in Calgary, AB, is seeking a passionate, high-energy Line Cook for a full-time role in our premier downtown dining outlets. You will prepare, cook, and plate high-quality menu items, collaborating with a dynamic team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for members and guests.

We value passion for hospitality, craftsmanship, and a drive to grow within a premier culinary environment. Open availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen.
  • Experience in an elevated dining setting is a strong asset.
  • A genuine love for hospitality and the culinary arts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Kitchen Team to prepare high-quality dishes with consistent presentation.
  • Follow Glencoe standard recipes and quality expectations.
  • Prepare Mise en Place for service and maintain sanitation standards.
  • Maintain well-stocked prep and service stations for seamless kitchen operations.
  • Time and coordinate dish preparations for efficient service.

We are looking for a passionate, high-energy, full-time Line Cook who is dedicated to mastering their craft and growing alongside a premier team. Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with Kitchen Team members to execute thoughtfully prepared, high-quality dishes with consistency, attention to detail, and pride in presentation
  • Leverage culinary techniques to prepare a variety of menu items in accordance with Glencoe standard recipes, quality expectations, and presentation requirements
  • Prepare Mise en Place for service including intricately cutting up vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces, while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain well-stocked, organized prep and service stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and supplies to support seamless kitchen operations
  • Proactively execute and time the preparation of high-quality dishes to ensure consistent quality, efficient service, and coordinated delivery to the table
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen environment and a strong understanding of line pace, precision, and consistency
  • Experience in an elevated dining setting considered a strong asset
  • A genuine love for hospitality, the culinary arts, and a drive to constantly improve
  • A Journeyman Seal or working towards a Red Seal certification is considered an asset
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions within a fast-paced kitchen environment, including recipes, prep lists, service direction, safety procedures, and sanitation requirements
  • Alberta Food Safety Basics certificate or comparable certificate
  • Ability to stand and walk comfortably for the duration of the shift, with the capacity to repetitively lift, carry, and move supplies weighing up to 50 lbs

These are full-time positions that report to the Banquet SousChef. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, so must have open availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as a Respect in the Workplace certification prior to commencing employment.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The Club does not provide assistance with obtaining Canadian work authorization.
