Job summary

Graybar Canada seeks a Lighting Specialist to grow our sales in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. You will liaise with NB/PEI account managers, develop energy-efficient lighting solutions, and present to customers and staff.

The role requires travel across NB and PEI, occasional trips to the US for training, and a willingness to reside in Moncton, Fredericton or Saint John. A technical certificate or business degree and sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Sales experience combined with a technical certificate or business degree is preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and willing to travel NB, PEI, and US.
• Able to work independently and in a small team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of lighting products is an asset; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with NB and PEI Account Managers on lighting projects.
• Develop understanding of rebate incentives in NB and PEI for energy-efficient lighting upgrades.
• Make lighting-related presentations to customers and Graybar employees.
• Manage multiple projects across different stages.
• Promote lighting sales to commercial, industrial and institutional accounts.
• Assess client needs and recommend suitable goods or services.
• Develop proposals and presentations to illustrate product benefits.
• Prepare energy-efficient lighting and retrofit cost analyses and payback calculations.
• Travel overnight to support sales territory and five NB branch locations; occasional PEI.
• Attend training trips to stay updated on lighting technologies.
• Strive for continuous improvement.
