Job summary

RSM Canada is seeking an Assurance Manager to join our Life Sciences practice. You will work on diverse audit engagements across biotech clients, coordinating teams and delivering high-quality financial statements and disclosures.

The role requires CPA, 5+ years of assurance experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects, coach staff, and travel up to 25% to client sites. You will contribute to maintaining rigorous audit quality and firm standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or other discipline from an accredited University.
• Active CPA (or equivalent certification) required.
• 5+ years of recent assurance experience within a public accounting environment with substantial exposure to external audit engagements.
• Strong technical proficiency with GAAP/IFRS and auditing standards.
• Proven experience leading and managing audit engagements and teams.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with clients and firm personnel.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service including coordinating the auditing of financial statements and related disclosures.
• Assess risk and design audit procedures for engagement teams.
• Understand and utilize firm Audit Methodology.
• Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
• Supervise audit seniors and supervisors and coach staff on performance.
• Maintain contact with clients to understand impact of developments on audits.
• Develop others within the Firm through training and career development.
