Job summary

RSM Canada is seeking a bilingual Assurance Manager to join our Public Sector Assurance Practice, serving municipal, provincial, federal governments, not-for-profits and foundations. You will lead audit engagements, coordinate teams, and ensure high-quality deliverables across complex reporting environments.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA, have 5+ years of assurance experience in public accounting, and are fluent in English and French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA (or equivalent) certification required.
• 5+ years of recent assurance experience within a public accounting environment.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• Strong technical proficiency with financial reporting, audit procedures, and auditing standards (GAAP, CASs).
• Proven experience leading audit engagements and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service including coordinating auditing of financial statements and disclosures.
• Assess risk and design audit procedures for engagement teams.
• Understand and apply RSM’s Audit Methodology.
• Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.
• Supervise seniors and supervisors on engagements and monitor productivity and schedules.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate developments impacting audits.
