Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a permanent, full-time Tractor Technician to maintain and repair the company fleet.

You will diagnose issues found during inspections and determine the proper remedial action, working with the Service Coordinator and other technicians to keep the fleet in top condition. The role requires a licensed tractor technician, prior experience on tractors, and the ability to provide great service to drivers.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician.
• Experience working on tractors as a Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician.
• Prior qualification to perform Safeties is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet.
• Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial action.
• Work with Service Coordinator and other technicians to ensure timely repairs.

Job description

The Tractor Technician is a permanent, full-time position. You will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technician/Mechanics and Tractor Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician
• Experience working on tractors as aHeavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician
• Previous experience and qualification to perform Safeties are considered mandatory in this position
• Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
• Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
• Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship
• Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry)
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Hold a valid Driver’s License.
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag,liftand carry items weighing 50lbsor less.

Location and Shift Schedules:

• South Shop - 234090 Wrangler Road, Rocky View, AB - Day shift: This position is subject to 4-10 hour days, Monday to Thursday shift schedule, hours of work are 06:00-16:30.
