Job summary

Optima Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team in Alberta. The role partners with the Director of Care to deliver high-quality resident-centered services and a respectful, safe environment for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, maintaining records, and supporting end-of-life care with compassion. Strong collaboration and infection control adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains a current license to practice in Alberta (CRNA/CLHA).
• CPR and First Aid certification are required.
• Experience in residential care or mental health is an asset.
• Ability to mentor Health Care Aides and work with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement resident care plans under the Director of Care.
• Administer medications and provide direct nursing care.
• Maintain accurate resident health records and documentation.
• Support move-ins/outs, palliative and end-of-life care with dignity.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families and the care team.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection control activities.
