Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Provost seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Tech to join the OR, Emergency and Acute care units at Provost Health Centre. You will provide patient and family centred care, using nursing processes and interprofessional collaboration.

The role requires active LPN registration, a peri-operative certificate, BCLS-HCP, and prior OR experience is preferred. Regular part-time position with 0.75 FTE; shifts include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on call.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.
• Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Must have the Peri-operative Certificate (ORT) or complete it within 16 months from start date.
• Preferred: 1-2 years OR experience; 5+ years as an LPN.

The Town of Provost is a small but busy town located in east central Alberta, 19 km west of the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Provost is maintaining a brand-new Arena and sports facility as well as a Recreation and Culture Centre, plus several other facilities including ball diamonds, tennis courts and campgrounds.
