Job summary

Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Home Health team at Invermere Health Centre in Invermere, BC. The position is a relief part-time role (0.75) with days 09:00–15:06, until February 27, 2027, or return of the incumbent.

The role involves wound care, IV, catheter care, managing medications, and following Standards of Practice and organizational policies within the BC health system.

Qualifications

• Performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications.
• Operates within BC standards of practice and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

About The Job

• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients such as wound care, IV, catheter care and pleurex drains
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Part Time (0.75) opportunity until February 27, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 09:00 to 15:06 hours.
