Job summary

Interior Health seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Home Health team at Invermere Health Centre in Invermere, BC. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality nursing care and support the community.

The role involves wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, and following established standards and protocols. This is a relief, part-time position with scheduled daytime shifts.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with active LPN credential in BC.
  • Experience in home health or similar settings preferred.
  • Ability to perform nursing assessments and care planning.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assessments, plans, and provides personal and nursing care to clients (wound care, IV, catheter care).
  • Administers oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications following policies.
  • Works within BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and unit protocols.

About The Job
  • In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients such as wound care, IV, catheter care and pleurex drains
  • Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
  • Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Part Time (0.75) opportunity until February 27, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 09:00 to 15:06 hours.
