Interior Health Authority’s Victorian Community Health Centre in Kaslo seeks an LPN to provide compassionate care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The relief full-time role involves patient assessments, planning and delivering nursing care, and administering medications in line with regulatory standards and site protocols. Shifts include days and nights on a rotating schedule through 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00.

Qualifications

• Provides patient assessments and nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Administers medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular) per policy.
• Works within BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and site protocols.

About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Full Time opportunity until December 8, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this Location

Victorian Community Health Centre, located in Kaslo, embodies a patient-centered philosophy designed to support individuals’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility has 18 beds: three double occupancy rooms with shared bathroom; two single rooms with shared bathroom; and 10 private rooms with bathrooms.

Kaslo emergency has two beds and one treatment room and all emergency admissions are transferred to other sites.
