Interior Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Home Health team at Invermere Health Centre in Invermere, BC. This relief part-time role (0.75 FTE) involves collaborative care, wound management, IV therapy and medication administration in a supportive, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Practical Nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of related community, acute care or long-term care experience.
• Current valid practicing license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients (e.g., wound care, IV, catheter care).
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with policy and procedures.

About the Job

The Licensed Practical Nurse:

• In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients such as wound care, IV, catheter care and pleurex drains
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

Relief Part Time (0.75) opportunity until February 27, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days from 09:00 to 15:06 hours.

Qualfications
