Cogir Senior Living in Vancouver BC is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate care team. You will deliver planned, patient-oriented nursing care in line with provincial standards and work within a multidisciplinary team to support residents and families.

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge.
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred.
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and time management.

Responsabilidades

• LPNs provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards of care.
• LPNs are an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team building trusted relationships with residents, families and teams.
• LPNs implement and evaluate care plans and make changes as required.
• LPNs complete and ensure resident’s clinical assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate and updated.
• LPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers with coaching and mentorship.

What YOU bring

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the applicable province
• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
