Interior Health Authority in Grand Forks, BC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join Boundary Hospital in a relief full-time capacity until March 8, 2028. The role requires flexibility to work day and night rotations in a busy community hospital.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, and provide nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, following BC's Standards of Practice and site protocols.

Qualifications

• Performs assessments and plans, provides nursing care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications per policies.
• Works within BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards and unit protocols.

Responsibilities

• Relief full-time position until March 08, 2028, with days and nights rotating 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00.

About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Full Time opportunity until March 08, 2028, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 08:00 to 20:00, 20:00 to 08:00 hours.

The Boundary Hospital is a very busy level 1 community hospital that has a catchment population of approximately 12,000 residents. The site offers medical, long-term care and emergency services and many community health programs are co-located at the hospital facility, which makes for a very collegial, multi-disciplinary team environment.
