Interior Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater, BC. This relief part-time (0.88) role offers rotating day and night shifts in a dynamic hospital setting.

The LPN will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and provide patient-centered care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, following BC standards of practice and organizational policies. May require flexibility through May 8, 2028.

Qualifications

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Relief Part Time (0.88) opportunity until May 8, 2028, or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

About this Location

The Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital and we offer services including surgical, inpatient and emergency. We have 6 acute care beds with a small 24 hour emergency department that includes 4 bays and 1 trauma bay. As part of our cohesive team of healthcare professionals, you will work hand in hand with local physicians and LPN’s, to deliver patient centred care!
