Job summary

Covenant Health in Bonnyville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency team. The LPN will deliver holistic patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to safe outcomes and quality improvement.

The role requires a Practical Nursing diploma, active Alberta registration, and Basic Life Support (Level C). It is a regular part-time position with shifts across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN practices to full scope, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to support safe care and positive health outcomes. The role is committed to providing person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care that respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, values, and needs of patients/residents and families. The LPN contributes to a culture of learning and professional practice excellence by orienting, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of staff, students, and learners.
