Job summary

Covenant Health invites applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join Unit 2 Medicine SMHC at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose. The position is a 0.40 FTE temporary part time role with days, evenings and nights shifts. The posting ends 05-OCT-2026 and the date available is 15-OCT-2026.

Responsibilities include holistic care delivery within a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on patient safety. LPN registration with CLHA and BLS are required; two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN practices to full scope, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to support safe care and positive health outcomes. The role is committed to providing person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care that respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, values, and needs of patients/residents and families. The LPN contributes to a culture of learning and professional practice excellence by orienting, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of staff, students, and learners.
