Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient-centered care across Acute, Transitional and Home Care settings. The LPN applies the nursing process and maintains competency in line with provincial standards.

The role requires active CLPNM registration, BLS, ACLS, CTAS, TNCC, and a valid Class 5 license. Occasional travel to regional facilities may be required; bilingual abilities are valued per program areas.

Qualifications

  • Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) certification.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

Responsibilities

  • Apply the nursing process to support clients in achieving optimum health.
  • Engage in ongoing education and maintain competency per policies and standards.
  • Prioritize work using initiative and independent judgment.
  • Collaborate in a diverse, interdisciplinary environment to support quality services.
