Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our Salmon Arm team. You will provide direct resident care and medications, ensure accurate care plans and documentation, and collaborate with the Director of Care on moves and transfers.

Ideal candidates have a Practical Nurse Diploma, current LPN registration, CPR, and 3+ years of seniors’ health experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office. This position is based at AgeCare Mount Ida Mews in Salmon Arm, BC.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with current registration in good standing.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience caring for seniors.
  • Current CPR training is required.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care and administer medications per policy.
  • Complete and maintain accurate care/service plans and documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling and participate in care conferences.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Care on moves, transfers and admissions.
  • Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the care team.
