Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join the Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre in a casual/relief capacity. You will provide person-centered nursing care, collaborate with an interprofessional team, and administer medications and treatments in a 60-bed continuing care setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited LPN program, active registration with CLHA, and BCLS-HCP certification.

As key members of the nursing team, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are responsible to provide safe, person-centered nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for clients in continuing care settings. They collaborate with the interdisclipinary team, administer medications and treatments, and support clients in daily living to enhance their health and quality of life. This role focuses on Continuing Care at the Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre, a 60-bed Type A facility that includes two secure units of 40 dementia-care beds.Lloydminster is Canada's only border city, offering breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, vast farmlands, and rolling river hills. Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Continuing Care nursing is preferred. Training in Connect Care and proficiency in general computer skills are also desirable. Experience with care planning and interRAI LTCF is beneficial, along with CCHSS education. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team.
